augmented reality certainly has much importance in real life for entertainment as well as industrial applications. Virtual Reality is much satisfying when compared to AR for personal entertainment. I haven't encountered any AR or VR demo that could keep me entertained for more than 5 minutes. AR/VR probably has some uses in industry, but most applications are still vastly better on a regular 2D screen, both for visualisation and interaction. The only situations where I can see AR being useful is when performing an activity where you need to see real-time information but cannot use your hands to interact with the device, e.g. driving, surgery, rock climbing, professional road cycling, flying etc

Odd, I can waste several hours in VRchat and hours on end in games like To The Top :D
